GOODRICH WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Leda Whitmore Goodrich, 81, died Tuesday in Stewart [sic; Stuart] Circle Hospital, Richmond. She was a native of Surry County and was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church. Mrs. Goodrich is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.H. Traylor Jr. and Mrs. C.M. Ellis, both of Wakefield; a son, Cephus E. Goodrich, of Wakefield; two brothers, G.T. Whitmore and M.B. Whitmore, both of Newport News, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel W. Carroll of Wakefield. A funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Waverly Rescue Squad.
