JACQUELINE RAY SHEFFIELD GARRETT 

  Jacqueline Ray Sheffield Garrett, 78, passed away Friday, December 9, 2005 
at Obici Hospital, Suffolk, Va.

  Born Oct. 18, 1927 in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Eddie 
Clarence and Ida Wells Sheffield.  She was preceded in death by her husband 
George Truett Garrett.  She was a member of the Wakefield United Methodist 
Church.

  Mrs. Garrett is survived by her son George T. Garrett, Jr. and his wife, 
Anne Bunja Garrett of Timonium, M.D., a brother, Eddie C. Sheffield, Jr., and 
three sisters, Ida S. West, Shirley S. Yancey, and Mary F. Burton, all of 
Waverly. 

  The funeral service were held Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. at Wakefield 
United Methodist Church with Rev. James Smith officiating.  Burial followed 
in the Wakefield Cemetery.  Family greeted friends after the service in the 
church fellowship hall, and at other times at the residence.

  The family request that memorial donations be made to either Wakefield or 
Waverly United Methodist Church.
  Harrell & Hill Funeral Home of Suffolk served the family.
