Mrs. Hobson, who was a native of Dendron, had been a resident of Hopewell for 25 years. She had made her home in Newport News with a daughter, Mrs. Helen H. Cox, for the past several years. Mrs. Hobson was the widow of Jodie S. Hobson. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, Dendron, and Adah Chapter 7, Order of Eastern Star, Hopewell. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cox, Newport News, and Mrs. Wilson McKerrow, Forest Hills, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Gayle and James McKerrow, Forest Hills, one brother, Edgar G. Faison, Waverly. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Peninsula Funeral Home, with Rev. C.T. Topping, pastor of Chestnut Avenue Methodist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Wakefield Cemetery, Wakefield. The family requests that flowers be omitted and that memoriam be sent to the Congregational Christian Church, Dendron. The family will be at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Helen Cox, 305 Hickory Ave., Newport News. Lydia Salome (FAISON; Mrs. Jodie S.)
