"In Memory of My Mother" By Nancy Binford Holt

LEAFIE BINFORD HOLT 

  Leafie Binford (1878 - 1911) was married to Aurelius Walter Holt (see 
bulletin 01-10-2010) on December 15, 1897.  They had five children - Oscar Lee 
Holt, William Thomas "Will" Holt, Mary Holt, Nancy Binford Holt, and Aurelius 
Walter Holt, Jr.  She grew up in the home that locals refer to as the "Haunted 
House" at Sycamore Crossing in the Mill Swamp area of Isle of Wight County. 
Leafie attended Rocky Hock Church after she was married.


Leafie Dell (BINFORD; Mrs. Aurelius W.) HOLT, 
b. 6 Oct 1878, Southampton Co., d. 13 Oct 1911, 
interred in Wakefield Cemetery*,

Daughter Mary May (HOLT; Mrs. Purnell Baird) ROGERS (1904 - 1990) 
   is buried in Waverly Cemetery.  (Find a Grave Mem. #128479137)
