Hines died Sunday, Dec. 31, 1995. Arrangements by Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel. ****************************************************************************** LOIS CAROLYN WHITE HINES Mrs. Lois White Hines, age 81, died Sunday, December 31, 1995. Mrs. Hines was a lifelong resident of Wakefield. She was the daughter of the late Jeb Stuart and Jessie Councill White. Mrs. Hines attended Mary Washington College and taught grade school in Whitmill, VA. She was a postal clerk for thirty- two years, retiring in 1980. She was also a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church, Charter member of the Wakefield Woman's Club, and The Daughters of the Confederacy. She is survived by her husband, Virginius W. Hines, of the home; two daughters, Antoinette Hines-Berger, Buckingham, VA and Pamela H. Burton, Quinton, VA; two granddaughters; two grandsons and one great- grandson. Funeral services will be held at the Wakefield United Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 2, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Randy Duncan. Burial following in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence, 113 W. Church St., Wakefield. The family suggests donations be made to the Wakefield United Methodist Church.
