She was a native of Dory and was the daughter of the late Phillip A. and Bina Barrett Hines. She was the widow of Wallace Hale Harrison. Mrs. Harrison attended Farmville State Teacher College and was a public school teacher in Virginia for 52 years. She taught at Windsor Elementary School from 1922-25, Franklin 1925-32, and Ivor Elementary from 1932-74. She was a member and pianist at Ivor Methodist Church for many years. Also a former member of Wakefield congregational Christian Church, she was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association and the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Gen. William Mahone Camp, Wakefield. Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Friday, April 10, 1998, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.
