VERSLIE RAY BAILEY HARGRAVE 

  WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Ray Bailey Hargrave, 80, died Tuesday in a Hopewell 
hospital.

  A native of Surry County, she was the wife of Garland M. Hargrave.

  A graduate of Longwood College, she was a retired public schools teacher. 
She was a member of Washington Street United Methodist Church, Petersburg.

  Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Reeves of Petersburg, 
Mrs. Kathleen Revelle of Wakefield, and Mrs. Hilda Jones of San Antonio, 
Tex.; and a brother, Ralph J. Bailey of Wakefield.

  A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. in Wakefield Cemetery by 
the Rev. Henry M. Matthews and the Rev. J.W. Edwards.  Purviance Funeral 
Home has charge.  Memorial donations may be made to the Waverly or Ivor 
Rescue squads.
