All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ GUY BRADFORD INGRAM DENDRON - Guy Bradford Ingram, age 92, a resident of Dendron, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1999, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, his wife of 74 years, Mary Mueller Ingram; two daughters, Rose Marie Slade, and her husband, Kenneth, and Dorothy Joan Presson, and her husband, Allie B.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Guy was born on Oct. 4, 1906, in Dendron, the son of the late John and Mary King Ingram. He moved to New Jersey at age 17 and while there met and married Mary Mueller. The family moved back to Virginia in 1941 and Guy became employed at Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. during World War II. He retired from the company in 1971 after 30 years of service. He attended Dendron Baptist Church and the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield. He was a former member of the Blackwater Sportsman’s Club. He loved fishing and spending time with his beloved wife and family. Father Carl DeSouza and Brian Benjamin will conduct the funeral on Tuesday, March 2, at 2 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. A prayer vigil will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6 p.m. followed by a time of family visitation.
