Merle Solinger and the Rev. J.L. Blackwell. Burial was in Waverly Cemetery. Pallbearers were L.E. Pope, H.W. Niblett, J.E. Pittman Sr., A.P. Hartz, E.C. Wilson, J.E. Hayes, C.W. Kitchen and E.C. Nettles. Jones, 60, died Tuesday in his home after a heart attack. A native of Southampton County, he was son of R. Morgan and Mrs. Etna Kitchen Jones. He was a member of Waverly Christian Church and Waverly Masonic Lodge. He was a representative of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., 38 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Barnes Jones; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia J. Coates of Richmond and Miss Debbie Lyn Jones of Waverly; and a brother, William M. Jones of Richmond.
