He was a native of Isle of Wight County and an Army veteran of World War II. He had been employed for the past nine years as a maintenance supervisor with the Masonite Corp. at Waverly, and was a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Jones; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Juanita Wills of Wakefield; two sons, Shelton E. Jones and Earnest T. Jones, both of Waverly; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Bulls, and a sister, Mrs. Randolph Powell of Zuni; three brothers, Jack M. Mones of Ivor, Randolph Jones of Smithfield and Ray M. Jones of Zuni, and four grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Purviance Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Waverly Horne. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.
