Switzer. Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery. Joyner died Monday in a hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was employed by the town of Wakefield and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy J. Hobbs of Wakefield; three sisters, Helen Poteet of Portsmouth, Estelle Joyner of Wakefield and Ida White of Norfolk; a brother, Dudley Joyner of Franklin; and a granddaughter. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Rescue Squad.
