A native of Southampton County, Mrs. Kotz was a Suffolk resident for most of her life. She worked as a public health nurse for the Suffolk Health Department for 20 years. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Survived by a daughter, Joyce Bernheim of West Caldwell, N.J.; a step- sister, Mrs. J.B. Murphy of Wakefield; a stepbrother, J.C. Brittle of Hampton; and four grandchildren. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Thursday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Jim Noland. Burial will be private. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials to the Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, 23434; or to a favorite charity.
