Laine, died at her home in Wakefield on Friday night, November 11, after an illness of a few weeks. The daughter of the late Dempsey and Sarah White Faison of Sussex County, Mrs. Laine was a lifelong resident of the Wakefield community. She was a member of the Congregational Christian Church. Surviving her are two daughters, Miss Erie Lee Laine of Wakefield and Mrs. Paul Pond of Victoria; one son, Joseph Osmond Laine of New York City; two grandchildren, Miss Mildred Anne Pond of Victoria and Leroy M. Laine of Oak Park, Ill.; and two brothers. R.L. Faison and Floyd F. Faison of Wakefield. Funeral rites for Mrs. Laine were conducted at the grave in the Wakefield cemetery on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. W.L. Wood, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, officiating. The pallbearers were Cleveland Faison, L.B. Faison, Dillard Faison, Webster Rogers, Willie Laine, Aston Laine, Lewis Davis and G.J. Johnson. Etta A. (FAISON; Mrs. Leroy R.)
