NAOMI POND LAINE

   FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Pond Laine, 71, who died Friday, 
was held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield, with 
burial in Wakefield cemetery.

   Mrs. Laine was a native of Sussex county and a member of the High Street 
Methodist Church.

   Surviving are her husband, Chester G. Laine, a daughter, Mrs. William K. 
McKnight of Atlanta, Ga.; and three sisters, Mrs. Esther Purcell and Miss Mary 
Pond, both of Wakefield and Mrs. Frank Ryan of Martinsville.
