All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LUCIE MAY TAYLOR LONG Lucie Taylor Long, a native of Petersburg, died Tuesday, September 21, 1993, at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, and was a retired school teacher having taught in Wakefield and Prince George Public Schools. She was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church, Petersburg. She was the daughter of the late Dr. W.C. and Lillian Jones Taylor. She was the widow of Joseph Lawrence Long. She is survived by two daughters, Alice L. Green of Colonial Heights and Betty L. Robinson of Petersburg; a son, J. Lawrence Long Jr. of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, Dr. Francis N. Taylor of Petersburg; seven grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held in Wakefield Cemetery on Thursday, September 23, 1993, at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. D. Allen Schuyler. Family and Friends may assemble at the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity. Lucie May (TAYLOR; Mrs. Joseph L.)
