ESTHER ELIZABETH MAGEE VAUGHAN LUNSFORD 

   WAKEFIELD - A funeral service for Mrs. Esther Magee Lunsford was conducted 
in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. 
Donald Anderson.  Burial was in Wakefield cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Frank Jamerson, Hudson Pond, Donald Magee, Claude Baugh, 
Dennis E. Morris, J.H. Stephenson Jr., and C.W. Kitchen.

   Mrs. Lunford, 54, died in Thomson, Ga. Monday morning after a short illness.

   She was a member of Thomson Baptist Church.

   A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Richmond [sic; 
Richard Daniel] and Mrs. Alice Morris Magee and the wife of James C. Lunsford.

   Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Stanley E. Vaughan Jr. of Miami; 
a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence P. Reece of Dallas, Tex.; six sisters, Mrs. L.E. 
Blanchard of Hampton, Mrs. F.L. Wood of Portsmouth, Mrs. D.W. Moore of Newport 
News, Mrs. C.A. Laine Jr. of Wakefield, Mrs. W.L. Glore of Miami and Mrs. E.B. 
Sinclair of Richmond; and two brothers, E.D. Magee of Newport News and R.L. 
Magee of Waverly.

James (6 Nov 1904 - 4 Jun 1971), a native of Washington Co., GA, is buried 
   with his first wife in Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, Elbert Co., GA.
