EVA MAE ASKEW McEWEN 

  Eva Mae "Maisie" McEwen, age 77, died on March 7, 1995, in Richmond, VA. 
She was the widow of Dr. Robert B. McEwen, Sr., and the daughter of the late 
James and Elizabeth Joyner Askew.  She was a member of Wakefield United 
Methodist Church.  She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. Albertson 
and Susan M. Chesson, both of Richmond; a son, Robert B. McEwen, Jr., of 
Wakefield; and four grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at Purviance 
Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Friday, March 10, 1995, at 11:00 a.m., conducted 
by Rev. Malcolm L. Yaple.  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.  The family 
will receive friends in the Wakefield United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall 
following the services.
