She was the widow of Dr. Robert B. McEwen, Sr., and the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Joyner Askew. She was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. Albertson and Susan M. Chesson, both of Richmond; a son, Robert B. McEwen, Jr., of Wakefield; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Friday, March 10, 1995, at 11:00 a.m., conducted by Rev. Malcolm L. Yaple. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.
