JOHN MUNFORD 

  DENDRON - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the grave in 
Wakefield Cemetery for John Munford, 25, who died Sunday morning at his home 
at Rocky Hock, Surry County.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle [sic; 
Myrtie] Clark Munford, and three small children, including an infant one month 
old; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Munford, with whom he made his 
home; seven sisters, Mrs. Cris Hancock of Rocky Hock, Mrs. Ollie Clark of near 
Manry, Mrs. Harvey Cowling of Courtland, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson of Suffolk, Mrs. 
Kathyrene Munford [sic; Catherine Munford Gray] of Portsmouth and Misses Cora 
and Frances Munford, who reside at home, and one brother, Gordon Munford of 
Isle of Wight.

His D.Cert. 2659 (Blackwater #1) mistakenly gives b. 1910, and his father 
   as b. Nansemond Co., rather than Isle of Wight Co.; the informant was 
   his widow. 

He appears in the [26 Apr] 1910 Census - Blackwater Dist., Surry Co. - 
   age 6 months.
