ANNA HARRIS MUIR 

  WAKEFIELD - Anna Harris Muir, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, in Clinton, 
N.C.  Born Jan. 6, 1925, in Powellton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late 
Herbert H. and Kathleen McAllister Harris.  Mrs. Muir and her late husband, 
Ernest G. Muir, were former residents of Wakefield, Va.

  She is survived by her daughters, Deanna M. Barney and husband, Ron, of 
Clinton, N.C., Katie F. Wyatt of Chesapeake, Va., and Andrea F. Hellyer of 
Wakefield, Va.; her sisters, Margaret H. Lanham of Summersville, W.Va., Vivian 
H. D’Elia of Monroe, N.Y., and Marvetta H. Dahir of Newport News, Va.; her 
brother, Herbert H. Harris, Jr. of Pratt, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and two 
great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Muir was preceded in death by her son, Ernest G. 
Muir, Jr., and her sister, Frances H. Francis.

  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Purviance 
Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield.  Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery.  The 
family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

  Memorial donations may be made to Crater Community Hospital, 840 W. Roslyn 
Rd., Ste. E., Colonial Heights, Va. 23834.
