All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CLETIUS AILEEN LAMPE MOORE AILEEN LAMPE MOORE WAKEFIELD - Aileen Lampe Moore, 83, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, in Suffolk, Va., with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Moore and her husband, the late Arnold Lee Moore, operated the Tasty Treat in Wakefield for 21 years. She attended Indiana University School of Music, was a piano Teacher, and was the organist and pianist for the Wakefield United Methodist Church for many years, and worked for Purviance Funeral Home as organist for a number of years. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1939, the Purviance Lunch Support Group, and the Pocahontas Ladies’ Bible Class. Born in Clarksburg, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Fred Lampe and Miriam Christian Lampe. Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughters, Betty M. Gay and husband, D.C. Gay, Kathy D. Frierson and husband, Bill Frierson, Peggy J. Moore and husband, Alex Arevalo; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild expected in December. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at the Wakefield United Methodist Church, Wakefield, with the Rev. G.C. Branton III officiating. Interment will follow in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the church following graveside rites and at other times at Mrs. Moore’s home on Savedge Avenue in Wakefield. Memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield United Methodist Church or the Clarksburg Christian Church, P.O. Box 62, Clarksburg, IN 47225.
