DOLLY ELIZABETH FAISON MURPHY 

  WAKEFIELD - Dolly Faison Murphy, 86, of Wakefield died peacefully on Monday, 
December 1, 2014 in her home surrounded by her family.  The family finds peace 
in knowing she is now sitting in Heaven on the bench with granddaddy.

  Dolly was born on July 30, 1928 to the late Dolly B. and Martha Barrett 
Faison.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 
years, Charlie Randolph "Tuck" Murphy; her brothers, Bob Faison, Woody Faison, 
Hardy Faison and Wilmer F. "Winky" Faison; her sisters, Edna Eure and Lillian 
Griffin; a son, Freddie Murphy; a grandson, Christopher Muprhy and a great-
grandson, Colby Maddrey.

  Dolly worked at Randolph’s side on the family farm, helping him with many of 
the daily chores.  She found enjoyment raising her family and taking care of 
their needs.

  Left to cherish her memory is her son, C. Wayne Murphy and wife, Arlene of 
Dendron; grandchildren, C. Edwin Murphy and wife, Loraine of Wakefield, Emily 
Edwards of Ivor, Crystal Adkins and husband, John of Virginia Beach, Cora Lee 
Murphy and Gracyn E. Murphy, both of Athens, Alabama; step-grandchildren, 
Tiffany Livesay and Derek Davis; great-grandchildren, Zachary Murphy, Dennis 
Maddrey, Cheyenne Murphy, Kai Adkins, Brandon Edwards and Adeline Adkins; step 
great-grandchildren, Amber Williams, Destiny Whitney and Daelyn Whitney; 
brother, D.B. Faison; special friends, Diane and David Barlow of Wakefield and 
her beloved grand-dog, Zipper.

  The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at R.W. Baker 
Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel 11414 General Mahone Hwy, 
Wakefield, VA 23888 from 6 to 8:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at 
2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Cliff 
Fritzinger and Mr. Paul Rogers, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow at 
Wakefield Cemetery.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to 
her wonderful caregivers.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made 
to ECU Foundation, Office of Gift Records, East Carolina University, 
Greenville Centre, Suite 1100, Mall Stop 301, Greenville, NC 27858, attention 
Tammy C. Garris with a note of the donation "Chris Murphy Scholarship Fund."
