Mr. Murphy was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, Wakefield, and Wakefield Community Hunt Club. Survived by a son, Christopher Randolph Murphy of Wakefield; his parents, C. Randolph and Dolly F. Murphy of Wakefield; a brother, C. Wayne Murphy of Surry; and his grandmother, Mrs. Charlie Murphy of Wakefield; and a special friend, Susan Scarborough. Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at Wakefield Sportsman’s Club. Graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Wakefield Cemetery by the Rev. Charles Rowley.
