ROBERT LEE MURPHY 

R. LEE MURPHY 

  R. Lee Murphy, 89, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, Mar. 17, 1987.

  He was a life-long resident of Wakefield and was a member of Wakefield 
Congregational Christian Church.

  Mr. Murphy was the son of the late William W. Murphy and Martha Bailey 
Murphy.  He was the widower of Mary Cotton Murphy.  He was preceded in death 
by a son, the late Joseph L. Murphy.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lois M. Pulliam of Arlington; a sister, 
Mrs. Gladys M. Hursey of Ettrick; five grandchildren; and four great-
grandchildren.

  A graveside service was conducted Thursday, Mar. 19, in Wakefield Cemetery 
by the Rev. Donald Chick.

  Memorial contributions may be made to the Ivor Volunteer Rescue Squad.

  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, handled arrangements.
