GEORGE NESBITT MARSHALL 

  WAKEFIELD - George Nesbitt Marshall, Sr., 80, died Sunday, Aug. 26, in his 
home.

  A native of Vienna, Md., Mr. Marshall was a member of Wakefield United 
Methodist Church.

  Mr. Marshall was also a member of Wakefield Masonic Lodge No. 198 A.F. & 
A.M. and Khedive Temple, Norfolk.

  Mr. Marshall retired from the Bank of Sussex and Surry.

  Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Cannon Marshall; one daughter, Mary Ann 
M. Harris of Stantonsburg, N.C.; one step-daughter, Sara Anderson Greenwell of 
Hollywood, Fla.; one son, George N. Marshall, Jr. of Wakefield; and three 
grandsons.

  A funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Jess V. Staton.  Burial with Masonic rites will be in Wakefield Cemetery.

  The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of 
contributions to Ivor Rescue Squad, Waverly 23890 or Wakefield United 
Methodist Church building fund, Wakefield 23888.
