Joseph Richard Newhouse

  WAVERLY - Joseph Richard Newhouse, 79, died Saturday, Jan. 9, at Southside 
Regional Medical Center, Petersburg. 

  Newhouse, a native of Pennsylvania, a retired coal miner and a member of 
the Shrine of The Infant Jesus of Prague, Wakefield. 

  Survivors include, six daughters, Mrs. Georgia Zazworski of Waverly; Mrs. 
Lillian Davis of Fla.; Mrs. Rose Patterson, Mrs. Marion Weaver, Mrs. Margaret 
Brown, all of Ohio and Mrs. Mary Kennedy of Oregon; two sons, Joseph Paul 
Newhouse of Ala. and Stephen Richard Newhouse of Virginia; three sisters, 
Mrs. Anna Pyle of W. Va.; Mrs. Margaret Singleton of Maryland and Mrs. Helen 
Home of Penn.; 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. 

  A Mass of The Resurrection was held at the Shrine of The Infant Jesus of 
Prague, Wakefield.  Burial was at Waverly Cemetery Monday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. 
with the Father Eugene Teslovic officiating. 

  Memorial donations may be made to the Waverly Rescue Squad. 

  Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield was in charge of the arrangements.
