Ed Griffin and Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery. Pallbearers were H.D. Presson, D.E. Morris, R. M. Cobb Jr., Marvin Steih, Stanley Bage, John R. Harris, J.C. Duncan, S.I. Jenkins and C.R. Jones. O'Berry, a greenhouse operator and funeral home employee, died Monday, Dec. 18 in Louise Obici Hospital, Suffolk. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was a son of Mrs. Ann Norris O'Berry of Windsor and the husband of Mrs. Alma Lassiter O'Berry. He was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church and Wakefield Hunt Club. He owned and operated O'Berry Greenhouses and worked for Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, 20 years. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are two sons, Donald Lee O'Berry of Hilliard, Fla., and John O'Berry of Wakefield; seven sisters, Mrs. G.H. Wright of Holland, Mrs. Louis J. Spenyovics of Portsmouth, Mrs. W.B. Britt of Smithfield, Mrs. R.W. White and Mrs. Robert Norfleet of Suffolk, Mrs. Harry Lee Goodrich Jr. of Wakefield, and Mrs. Aubrey H. Worrell of Zuni; three brothers, Edward E. O'Berry of Wakefield, Herbert F. O'Berry and E.W. O'Berry of Windsor; the three grandchildren.
