He was a self-employed contractor, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the W.O.W. and a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Brown Pittman; a son, Dave Lawrence Pittman; a brother, Elmo C. Pittman, All of Wakefield; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Griffin of Windsor, Mrs. Doris Massey and Mrs. Vera Branch, both of Newport News. A funeral service will be held April 13 at 4 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield. Burial will be in the Wakefield Cemetery.
