ODIE HARGRAVE PITTMAN 

  Odie Hargrave Pittman, 80, of Wakefield died Sunday afternoon in a Suffolk 
hospital.  She was the widow of Charlie C. Pittman.

  She was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church, Daughters of the 
Confederacy, and the Baptist W.M.U.

  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vera Branche and Mrs. Dorie Massey, 
both of Newport News, and Mrs. Edith Griffin of Windsor; and two sons, Elmo C. 
Pittman and Burton H. Pittman, both of Wakefield; eight grandchildren, and one 
great-granddaughter.

  A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with burial in Blandford 
Cemetery, Petersburg.  The Rev. E.D. Griffin officiated.

  Purviance Funeral Home was in charge.

Louise Obici Hospital, Suffolk.

  A native of Wakefield [sic*] she was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church 
and Daughters of the Confederacy.

  Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vera P. Branche and Mrs. Doris P. 
Massey of Newport News, and Mrs. Edith P. Griffin of Windsor; two sons. Elmo 
C. Pittman and Burton H. Pittman of Wakefield; eight grandchildren and one 
great-grandchild.

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home by 
the Rev. Ed Griffin of Wakefield Baptist Church.

  Burial will be in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
