She was the widow of Charlie C. Pittman. She was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church, Daughters of the Confederacy, and the Baptist W.M.U. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vera Branche and Mrs. Dorie Massey, both of Newport News, and Mrs. Edith Griffin of Windsor; and two sons, Elmo C. Pittman and Burton H. Pittman, both of Wakefield; eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with burial in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. The Rev. E.D. Griffin officiated.
