Interment was in the church cemetery. The Rev. Eugene E. Jones, pastor of Concord and the Rev. Lloyd Halstrum, former pastor of Concord Church officiated. Owen Funeral Home was in charge. Poole, 74, died Saturday, February 5 in the Petersburg General Hospital. He was a son of the late Mary Ella and Joseph Henry Poole. A member of the Concord United Methodist, he was a retired engineer with the Virginian Railroad. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. S.E. Weeks, Mrs. W.A. Chappell of Jarratt and Mrs. C.E. Modlin of Petersburg; one brother, Lawton L. Poole of Sedley; one step-daughter, Mrs. Bertie W. Harrup of Stoney Creek; one step- son, T. Milton Wooland of Richmond and four grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Active pallbearers were Clinton Hollaway, Arthur Poole, R.S. Barnes, Raleigh Slayton, Dennis Barnes and Abner Anderson.
