MYRA BELL JOHNSON HUBER PIERCE 

MRS. M.J.H. PIERCE 

  WAVERLY - Mrs. Myra Johnson Huber Pierce, 84, died Thursday in John Randolph 
Nursing Home, Hopewell.

  Born in Surry County, she was owner and operator of Pierce’s Grocery near 
Richmond’s Byrd Airport from 1953 to 1959 and was a member of Waverly United 
Methodist Church.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary H. Lane of Richmond; three sons, 
Lawrence D. Huber of Wakefield, Nelson M. Huber, Jr. of Disputanta, and Edwin 
W. Huber of Richmond; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha J. Bartlett and Mrs. Pauline 
J. Cofer, both of Newport News, Mrs. Edna J. Watts of Michigan, and Mrs. 
Katherine J. Fox of Seaford; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 
a great-great-grandchild.

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Purviance Funeral Home, 
Wakefield by the Rev. George Stewart.

  Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Richmond National Cemetery, Richmond.

  The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight 
and request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to 
the Waverly Rescue Squad.

She 1m. Nelson M. HUBER 29 Jun 1917, in Surry Co.  They div. in 1938. 

Nelson is buried with his second wife in Salem Methodist Church Cemetery, 
   Burrowsville, Prince George Co.  (Find a Grave Mem. #32601766 &c.) 

Son Nelson Jr. is buried in Waverly Cemetery.  (Find a Grave Mem. #87518639)
