              OBITUARY [...] 
        Miss Annie L. Pursell 
   [Special to The Times-Dispatch.] 

  DENDRON, VA. - October 5. - After a protracted illness, Miss Annie L. 
Pursell, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Pursell, of Dendron, died at her 
home yesterday afternoon at 2:40 o’clock.  Miss Pursell was about seventeen 
years of age, attractive and very popular among her associates.  When taken 
sick she was a student at Hollins Institute, where she was beloved by all 
who knew her.  She leaves her father, mother and two brothers.  The funeral 
will take place this afternoon at 3 o’clock from the residence, and the 
interment will be in Wakefield, Va.

              DEATHS 

PURCELL. - Died, at Dendron, Va., Monday, October 5, 1908, at 3:45 P.M., 
  EMMA [sic; ERNA] L., the only daughter of W.H. and Tessie Purcell [sic; 
  Pursell], aged sixteen years eleven months and thirteen days. 
    Funeral will take place from the residence at Dendron, Va., THIS (Tuesday) 
  AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock.  Interment at Wakefield.
