JOHN WATKINS PRESSON

October 26, 1879 - January 19, 1915

  John Watkins Presson, son of William C. Presson and his second wife, Emma 
Faison Presson, was born October 26, 1879.  His father was a farmer living 
in the Wakefield area.

  In November 1909, John W. Presson and his mother, Emma F. Presson, joined 
Wakefield Baptist Church by Letter of Transfer.  The Presson family lived 
on Church Street in Wakefield where Mr. Presson owned an insurance and real 
estate business.  They were active members of Wakefield Baptist Church.

  He married Permelia Ethel Norris on February 23, 1910, and they had one 
son, John Watkins Presson, Jr.

  Permelia Ethel Norris Presson was born March 11, 1882 and died July 10, 
1922.

  Mr. Presson died January 19, 1915 at the age of thirty-five.  He and his 
wife are buried in the Old Waverly Cemetery on Spring Branch Road in Waverly, 
Virginia.

   are buried in Spring Hill Christian Church Cemetery, Sussex Co. 
   Find a Grave calls it Springhill Cemetery.
