Mr. Presson was a native of Southampton and a former resident of Ivor. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Richmond, and a graduate of Richmond Professional Institute. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He retired as an accountant from the state Department of Public Health. Survivors include three sisters, Stella P. VanNatter of Newport News, Connie P. Tomlinson of Richmond and Margaret P. King of Dallas. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Wakefield Cemetery by the Rev. Samuel W. Tatem. The family will receive friends at the Fellowship Hall of the Wakefield United Methodist Church following the service. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 618-C J.Clyde Morris Blvd., Newport News 23601.
