All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LOTTIE MAE ROBINSON WAKEFIELD - Miss Lottie Mae Robinson, 86, a resident of Wakefield, died Friday, June 14, 2002, at Tandem Health Care in Windsor after a period of declining health. She was born on July 29, 1915, in Sussex County, the daughter of the late Irwin [sic; Irvin] J. and Josie Carroll Robinson. Miss Robinson was a telephone operator for Wakefield from 1936 to 1947, worked as office assistant for Dr. Karl Kaufman, MD, from 1948 to 1960, and Colombian Peanut Company, Wakefield, from 1963 to 1982. She also worked as a valued part-time employee at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman and Irwin [sic; Irvin]. She is survived by a nephew, George Lee Hearn and his wife, Lucy of Collinsville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 19, at 2 p.m. in the Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, Virginia. Burial will follow at Wakefield Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow at Wakefield United Methodist Church, in the fellowship hall, after committal services.
