DUDLEY SKINNER ROBERTSON 

DUDLEY ROBERTSON DIED IN FLORIDA; FUNERAL SATURDAY 

  Dudley Skinner Robertson, 63, of Wakefield, died Wednesday evening, June 10, 
in Leesburg, Florida.

  A native of Surry county, he was a son of Jesse Thomas Robertson and Nannie 
Osborne Robertson.  He was a retired farmer and farm implement dealer for New 
Idea and John Deere.  He was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church, Ruritan 
Club, Wakefield Masonic Lodge 198 and Khedive Temple, Norfolk.  He attended 
Hargrave Military Academy and Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jeanette Hill Robertson; a son, Dr. D.S. 
Roberson, Jr., of Leesburg, Fla.; one brother, Eugene T. Robertson and six 
sisters, Mrs. Maude R. Sledd, Richmond; Mrs. W.H. Carter, Amherst; Mrs. R.G. 
Hutcheson, Staunton; Mrs. Allen Jones, Steel’s Tavern; Mrs. E.C. Nettles, 
Wakefield, and Mrs. Horace R. Higgins, Waverly.

  Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Chapel on Saturday, 
June 13, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James B. Crocker officiating.  Interment 
will be in Wakefield Cemetery.
