She attended Westhampton College, was a member of Red Banks Baptist Church, and a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Olivia M. Callahan of Roanoke, Virginia and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services, conducted by the Rev. Roy Harris, were held in the Wakefield Cemetery on Saturday, April 7, 1984.
