Born March 13, 1945 in Newport News, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey John and Aralease Munford Cowling. She, along with her high school sweetheart, made their home in Wakefield, VA. She was a faithful member of Wakefield Baptist Church. She was devoted to her church family by volunteering as a Sunday school teacher, aiding during Bible School, and assisting with the Sunshine Seniors program. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, Keith Gouldman Richardson; two daughters, Natalee Dawn Richardson and husband, Brian Lee Quidley of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Brandee Richardson Phillips and husband, James Raymond Phillips of Waverly, VA; five grandchildren, Richardson Wake Felts, Gracie Logan Felts, Fallon Quinn Quidley, Aynslee Noelle Phillips, and Aydan Neal Phillips; sister, Ann W. Cowling of Piedmont, SC. She was preceded in death by her brother, Clifford C. Cowling, and sister, Clarice Cowling Adkins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Wakefield Baptist Church with Rev. Carter Dey officiating. Burial will follow in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the burial. Memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield Baptist Church, P.O. Box 567, Wakefield, VA 23888.
