Mrs. Richardson was a native of Sussex County. She was an active member of Wakefield United Methodist Church, where she taught the youth class and attended the Lucile P. Munford Bible Class for many years. She was also a member of the Mayflower Society and the Frances Bland Randolph Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Petersburg. Survived by her husband, Emmett B. Richardson Jr.; a son, Keith G. Richardson of Wakefield; three sisters, Winifred M. Peebles of Wakefield, Jean M. Foster of York and Sandra M. Taylor of Newport News; and two granddaughters. Visitation at family residence, 36353 Owens Grove Road in Waverly. Funeral 3 p.m. Saturday at Wakefield United Methodist Church by the Rev. Edward Owen, Charles Rowley and Larry Grizzard. Burial in Wakefield Cemetery. Memorials to Wakefield United Methodist Church Memorial Fund for choir use or to any area rescue squad.
