Mrs. Virgie Rhodes Funeral Friday 

  ZUNI - Funeral services for Mrs. Virgie Chapman Rhodes will be conducted 
Friday at 2 p.m. at Bethany Presbyterian churcn by the Rev. Gerald Voye. 
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Wakefield.  The body was 
taken to the Purviance Funeral home, Wakefield. 

  Mrs. Rhodes, 67, died Tuesday in a Richmond hospital after an illness of six 
months. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of Bethany Presbyterian 
church, Zuni. 

  She was the wife of Oscar T. Rhodes. 

  Besides her widower, surviving are two sons, Raymond E. Rhodes of San Diego 
and William T. Rhodes of Zuni; three brothers, J. Fletcher Chapman of Isle of 
Wight county, E.L. Chapman of Hopewell and J.W. Chapman of Walbridge, Ohio, 
and four grandchildren.

Mrs. O. T. Rhodes Buried March 9 In Wakefield 

  Mrs. Virgie Chapman Rhodes, 67, of Zuni, died Tuesday, March 6, 1962, in 
a Richmond Hospital after an illness of six months. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a member of the Bethany 
Presbyterian Church, Zuni. 

  Surviving are her husband, Oscar T. Rhodes; two sons, Raymond E. Rhodes of 
San Diego, Cal., and William T. Rhodes of Zuni; three brothers, J. Fletcher 
Chapman of Isle of Wight County; E.L. Chapman of Hopewell, and J.W. Chapman 
of Walbridge, Ohio, and four grandchildren. 

  The body was taken to the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield.  A funeral 
service was held in the Bethany Presbyterian Church Friday, March 9th, at 2 
P.M. by the Rev. Gerald Voye.  Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in 
Wakefield.

Mrs. Rhodes 

  Mrs. Virgie Chapman Rhodes, 57, of Zuni, died Tuesday, March 5, in a 
Richmond hospital after an illness of six months.  She was a native of Isle 
of Wight county and a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church. 

  Surviving are her husband, Oscar T. Rhodes; two sons, Raymond E. Rhodes 
of San Diego, Calif., and William T. Rhodes of Zuni; three brothers, J.F. 
Chapman of Isle of Wight; E.L. Chapman of Hopewell, and J.W. Chapman of 
Walbridge, Ohio; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

  Services will be held today in the Bethany Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. 
with the Rev. Gerald Voye officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial 
Park, Wakefield.  Pallbearers are L.E. Eley, Shelby Rhodes, Lofton Rhodes, 
Roland Lewis, Dick Johnson and W.C. Andrews.
