All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MILLS CECIL ROLLINGS HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO CECIL ROLLINGS Funeral services for Mills Cecil Rollings, 36, who died Sunday of a heart attack while swimming near Luray, Va., were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wakefield Methodist Church with burial in the Wakefield Cemetery. Rev. Carroll Freeman and Rev. J.L. Blankenship conducted the service while members of the Masonic Lodge and the Wakefield Ruritan Club attended in a body. Mr. Rollings was widely known as a song leader and was recognized as a top-notch salesman of farm machinery. He numbered many farmers throughout this trade area as friends. Until his fatal attack he appeared in excellent health. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Gardner Rollings; one son, Gardner Rollings, and one daughter, Nancy Rollings, all of Wakefield; his mother, Mrs. Ida C. Rollings; three brothers, Melvin, Marion and Norman Rollings, and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Hargrave, all of Dendron. Pallbearers were Robert Freeman, Clarence Griffin, Vernon Clark, R.F. Warren, Jr., Thad Evans, Rooney Stringfield, William Kitchen, Henry Gardner and Robert Hotchkiss. ****************************************************************************** MILLS CECIL ROLLINGS WAKEFIELD, VA - July 29 - A funeral service for Mills C.
