He is born in Southampton County and was employed by Allied Chemical Co. in Hopewell for 23 years. He was a member of Hopewell Moose Lodge No. 1472, an Army veteran and a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jacklyn W. Rollings; four daughters, Mrs. Diane Hranowskyj of Colonial Heights, Mrs. Donna Griffin of Hopewell, Mrs. Deborah Dowdy of Chester, and Miss Tammy Rollings of Prince George; two sons, Dennis H. Rollings and Mitch Daniels, both of Hopewell; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Simmons Rollings of Wakefield; three sisters, Mrs. Edith Vick of Wakefield, Mrs. Jean Holland of Winter Garden, Fla., and Mrs. Christine Britton of Franklin; four brothers, Gilbert Rollings of Richmond, Graham Rollings of Moseley, Robert Rollings of Palm Court, Fla, and Marshall Rollings of Norfolk; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Purviance Funeral Home Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. J.E. Lavender Jr. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home. The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Discovery United Methodist Church Building Fund, Richmond, Va.
