W. H. Ramsey, 62, Buried October 8 In Wakefield 

  Walter Hyden Ramsey, 62, Sussex merchant, died Thursday, October 6, 1960 
at 8:25 A.M. in a Richmond hospital after a short illness. 

  Born in Isle of Wight County, he was a son of John A. and Mrs. Edna White 
Ramsey.  He had operated a general merchandise store many years, the last 
twelve in Sussex County, near Waverly. 

  Surviving are his widow, Ivey Winborne Ramsey of Waverly; one daughter, 
Mrs. Wesley Earl Chesson of Newport News; two brothers, John A. Ramsey of 
Isle of Wight and C.M. Ramsey of Ivor; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Lane and 
Mrs. M.W. Myers of Ivor; and two grandchildren. 

  The body was taken to Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield.  A funeral service 
was conducted at the grave in Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery, Wakefield, 
Saturday, October 8th at 11 A.M. by the Rev. L.P. Bland of Wakefield Methodist 
Church.
