Romines, 75, a resident of Wakefield, died Monday, Feb. 13, 1995. He had retired from Wakefield Farm Service and Long Equipment Company. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Grace Knight Romines; a brother, Ira Catlett Romines, Emporia; and several nieces and nephews, including Gladys Brittle, Toni Harrison and Winnie Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Rescue Squad, or to the Oncology Unit of Obici Hospital, Suffolk. ****************************************************************************** Joseph C. He was a native of Tennessee and son of the late James Stephen and Lula Catlett Romines. He had retired as a salesman for Wakefield Farm Service and Long Equipment Company, Wakefield. His memberships include Wakefield Sportsman's Club, B & B Hunt Club and charter member of the Wakefield J.C.'s. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Grace Knight Romines; a brother, Ira Catlett Romines of Emporia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield by the Rev. Douglas M. Cotter and James H. Harrison. Burial will be in the Rocky Hock Church Cemetery, Wakefield. The family will receive friends at Purviance Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the residence, 8496 Wakefield Road.
