SPIVEY 

  Hattie Laine Spivey, 87, of 
  The Littleton community in 
  Sussex County, died Monday, 
  in a Franklin hospital.  She 
  was the widow of the late 
  Maynard L. Spivey and the 
  oldest member of The 
  Barretts Christian Church. 
  She is survived by one 
  daughter, Mrs. R.M. Wills of 
  Waverly and a brother, F. 
  M. Laine, of Petersburg. 
  Funeral services will be held 
  on Wednesday, May 7, at 3 P. 
  M. at the Purviance 
  Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, 
  by the Rev. C.E. Gerringer. 
  Interment will be in the 
  Spivey family cemetery near 
  Wakefield.

Laine Spivey, 87, died Monday in 
Southampton Memorial Hospital, 
Franklin. 
  She was a lifelong resident of 
Sussex County and the widow of 
Maynard L. Spivey. 
  She was the oldest member of 
Barrett's Christian Church. 
  Survivors include a daughter, 
Mrs. R. M. Wills of Waverly, and 
a brother, F. M. Laine of Peters- 
burg. 
  A funeral service will be held 
today at 3 p.m. in Purviance Fu- 
neral Chapel, Wakefield, by the 
Rev. C. E. Gerringer.  Burial will 
be in the Spivey Family Ceme- 
tery near Wakefield.
