A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the grave in Wakefield Cemetery. He was born in Littleton, Va., on Oct. 13, 1890. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Brent Savedge; a foster son, C.R. Davis, of Lynchburg; a sister, Mrs. C.T. Hamlin, of Surry, and two brothers, J.A. and A.T. Savedge, of Littleton. He was a member of the Wakefield Lodge, No. 198, A.F. & A.M.; Hollywood Camp of the Woodmen of the World, and Wakefield Baptist Church. ****************************************************************************** RICHARD ASA SAVEDGE DIES IN WAKEFIELD Richard Asa Savedge, 62, prominent citizen of Wakefield, died yesterday morning at 11:30 o’clock at his residence on Main St., after a long period of declining health. Mr. Savedge was born at Littleton, but had made his home in Wakefield for the past 43 years. He was engaged in the insurance business. A member of Wakefield Lodge Number 198 A.F.& A.M. Holly Camp, W.O.W. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mildred Brent Savedge, of Wakefield; a foster son, C.R. Davis, of Lynchburg; sister, Mrs. C.T. Hamlin, of Surry; two brothers; J.A. and A.T. Savedge, both of Litteton, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the grave in Wakefield Cemetery, with Masonic honors. Dr. John E. white, pastor of Wakefield Baptist Church, will officiate.
