After years of battling Alzheimer’s she is finally from her suffering. Born in Wakefield, on Feb. 10, 1928, a daughter of the late Bernice Everette Cowling and Edna Branch Cowling, she moved to Tucson, Ariz. in 1963, where for over 20 years she enjoyed her career at the University Hospital. Edna Earl was a member of Rocky Hock United Methodist Church, Wakefield. She is survived by her four children, Wanda Smith, Renae, Waldon III and Will Schwichtenberg, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Arizona; two brothers, B.E. Cowling Jr., and Albert C. Cowling, both of Waverly, and one sister, Dottie C. Moody of Wakefield. She was predeceased by two sisters, Frances C. Lowe and Nell B. Rogers. Memorial services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Feb. 15, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jim Kerr officiating. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family request that memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Edna Earl (COWLING; Mrs. Waldon H.
