All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY LOUISE PITTMAN SEELY WAKEFIELD - Mary Louise Pittman Seely, 91, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk. Born in Southampton County, she was the widow of Walter C. Seely Sr. and the daughter of the late James William and Mary Brittle Pittman. Mrs. Seely was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church, and a former member of Wakefield Christian Church, where she was highly regarded for her dedicated work within the Congregational Christian Women’s Organization. Mrs. Seely is survived by her step-son, Walter C. Seely, Jr., and his wife, Nan, of Wakefield; her step-daughter, Eva Joy Kelley of Newport Richie, Fla.; daughters-in-law, Sarah F. Seely and Jean R. Seely; grandchildren, Gertrude Seely, J. Fred Seely, Jacqueline Williams, Walter Daniel Seely, James Kelley, William Kelley, Mark Seely, Scott Seely and Jeffrey Seely; and nine great- grandchildren. She was predeceased by a stepson, John L. Seely. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. at Wakefield United Methodist Church with the Rev. C. Randy Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, and other times at the Brittles Mill Road residence.
