All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ RALPH EVANS SEELEY WAKEFIELD - Mr. Ralph Evans Seeley Sr., 78, of Wakefield, died Dec. 10, 1990 in Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg. He was a native of Columbus, Ohio, but lived in the Wakefield community since the age of six. He was a member of Wakefield United Methodist Church and had served on the Board of Trustees for more than 40 years. He also was a member of the Wakefield Ruritan Club and the Sons of Confederate Veterans and was an avid collector of antique farm equipment and all types of glass bottles. He was a retired federal employee of the ASCS office for Sussex County and a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Lucille R. Seeley; two sons, Ralph E. Seeley, Jr. and Wayne A. Seeley, all of Wakefield; two daughters, Barbara S. Pond of Sedley and Linda S. Huber of Richmond; five grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren. A funeral will be held at the Wakefield United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Dec. 12, officiated by the Rev. Jess V. Staton, with burial to follow in Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. The family suggest that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Wakefield United Methodist Church. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, is in charge of arrangements.
