KATHRYN EDWARDS BALDWIN SLADE 

  WAKEFIELD - Mrs. Kathryn Edwards Baldwin Slade, 58, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 
1983 at Medical College of Va., Richmond.

  Mrs. Slade was a native of Isle of Wight County [sic*] and a member of the 
Wakefield Baptist Church.  She was also a member of Wakefield Woman’s Club; 
Sussex County Home demonstration Club.  She was the daughter of the late 
Oscar Lee Edwards.

  Survivors are her husband, Richard T. Slade; her mother, Wilma James 
Edwards; three sons, Charles L. "Jimmy" Baldwin; William L. Baldwin; Thomas 
Wayne Slade, all of Wakefield; one daughter, Mrs. Erma Sue Sheldon, of 
Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Ethel S. Bailey of Wakefield; ten grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild.

  Funeral services were held at Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, on 
Monday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m.  Burial was at Wakefield Cemetery.

  Services were conducted by Rev. Stephen W. Edwards and Rev. Jerry Edwards.

  Memorials may be sent to Waverly Rescue Squad or Sussex United American 
Cancer Society.

KATHRYN EDWARDS SLADE 

   WAKEFIELD - A funeral for Kathryn Slade, 58, was held Monday at 3 p.m. in 
Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Revs. Stephen W. Edwards and Jerry 
Edwards.  Burial was in Wakefield Cemetery.

   Slade died Saturday in a Richmond hospital.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the wife of Richard T. Slade.

   She was a member of Wakefield Baptist Church, Wakefield Woman's Club and 
Sussex County Home Demonstration Club.

   Survivors include a daughter, Erma Sue Shelton of Richmond; three sons, 
Charles L. Baldwin, William L. Baldwin and Thomas Wayne Slade of Wakefield; 
her mother, Wilma James Edwards of Wakefield; a sister, Ethel E. Bailey of 
Wakefield; and 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
