She was a member of The Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague and worked for almost 40 years for Columbia Peanut Company in Wakefield. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Mary Mueller Ingram and her husband, Kenneth Jackson Slade. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kenneth Jackson "Jack" Slade, Jr. and his wife, Donna and Michael "Mike" Bradford Slade and his wife, Lee Ann; grandchildren, Al, Brad, Brittany and Braeden; great-granddaughter, Hannah and her sister, Dorothy Ingram Hewitt and several nieces and nephews. A prayer vigil will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at The Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 30, 2015 at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 at The Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Wakefield with Father Charles Saglio celebrating. Burial will follow in Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague and mailed to c/o St. Jude Catholic Church, 1014 Clay Street, Franklin, VA 23851 or to Crater Community Hospice Inc., 3916 South Crater Road, Petersburg, Va. 23805.
